About this property

Welcome to Hotel Imperial

Situated in the heart of Mexicali, Hotel Imperial occupies a historic building with a neocolonial facade that dates back to its reconstruction in 1951 after a significant fire. Originally established in 1915, the property has witnessed important moments in the city’s cultural and social history and continues to serve as a notable landmark on Av. Francisco I. Madero, offering convenient access to nearby attractions.

The hotel provides a straightforward three-star accommodation catering to guests seeking comfort and practicality. Facilities include a restaurant and bar, with check-in and check-out both set at 12:00. Rooms come with basic amenities reflective of its mid-range category, and some reviews highlight clean linens and a comfortable atmosphere. A welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ travelers also adds to its inclusive appeal.

Guests appreciate the convenient location, especially for sightseeing and getting around, scoring the hotel 4.2 for those purposes. It is close to popular sites such as Bosque y Zoológico de la Ciudad and the Diocese of Mexicali, which offer a variety of leisure options. Additionally, Mexicali R. Sanchez Taboada International Airport is reachable within a short drive, making arrival and departure manageable.

Feedback on the property is generally positive, with appreciation for friendly staff and value for money, though some guests note that facilities are modest compared to higher-rated hotels nearby. The mixed reviews reflect a balance between affordability and expectations, making it suitable primarily for travelers prioritizing location and basic comforts over luxury.

This hotel is a great choice and I prefer this hotel over the rest of them because it's a five star Hotel even though it's cheap and pesos its only 3 cincuenta 350 pesos . I can honestly say that if I were to choose anywhere else it wouldn't even come up close to meeting the borderline of A five star rating anywhere else you were to choose I'd say I'd give it to star in a half and that's just because they give you a room most of them don't come with TV or a pornographic channel of sex channel or even satellite TV everywhere else I'd say give a 2 star have a very wide selection and spread out area of the conveniently located restaurant taco stands and even the wonderful shop away clothing stores in apparel Wi-Fi some of the rooms in the hotels they don't provide Wi-Fi and the customer service is awfully bad because some of them don't even speak English and they don't even care about the Clinton Ana in customer service they only want the pace it because it's conveniently located right next to the line and it's convenient plus the hotel provides wonderful customer service was clean rooms and clean linens and even you get great Wi-Fi hookup connections

Very good quality rooms compared to a more expensive hotel across the street. Front Desk clerks are very friendly and accommodating. Will stay here again the next time I'm in Mexicali.
